I’m Mohammad Chanaa—firefighter, EMT, clinical leader, fixer of old cameras, and someone who believes that real success is about how you show up, not just what you achieve.

My journey into healthcare wasn’t linear. Like many, I thought I’d be a doctor. But hands-on service in emergency medicine, outpatient cardiology, and community leadership showed me there are many ways to make an impact. For me, becoming a Physician Assistant became the clear path: one rooted in continuity, collaboration, and compassion.

Outside of medicine, I breathe life back into forgotten objects—vintage cameras, typewriters, even the occasional box of dusty electronics. I do it for the same reason I show up for patients or train new recruits at the firehouse: because things—and people—deserve a second shot.

I believe that whether you're holding a stethoscope or a light meter, what matters is that you care. That you listen. That you do the work fully, and you do it well.

This blog is a mix of that mindset—stories, insights, and lessons from a life spent trying to do things the right way.
